Education is more than learning facts. It is learning to understand the world, ask questions, share ideas, and solve problems.
We partner with schools and grassroots organizations across India to strengthen foundational learning and build children's critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills, with focused support for students who have fallen behind.
The Challenge
Enrollment has improved. Learning has not kept pace.
Over the past decade, school enrollment in India has risen steadily. Yet millions of children still struggle with basic reading and arithmetic.
Many students in upper-primary grades cannot comfortably do tasks they should have mastered years earlier. And traditional classrooms offer few chances to build critical thinking, communication, creativity, and leadership.
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 recognizes this gap. It calls for an education system that builds not only literacy and numeracy, but also higher-order skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and creativity.
Paricharcha exists to help bridge this gap.
